San Diego Artist

Painter Deena Sand	considers Impressionism to be one of the most beautiful ways to express the feeling of an artist about a subject. By blending realism with impressionistic light and color I am able to paint my emotions onto canvas with feeling and imagination.

Impressionistic Wildlife Art Often in choosing a composition for my paintings I look for the representational inner soul of my wildlife subject. Using the interplay of light and color I strive to give the viewer an impression of my emotions and feelings. Use of color and light may be subtle, while expressing the hidden stealth of the "Leopard". Often I take a bold approach, as in "Living Courage", using varied and bright colors, to portray the radiating and impressionistic soul of the Lion.
